Cody Feist Memorial Scholarship
Fund Background: The Cody Feist Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in loving memory by family and friends in the year 2001. Cody was born in 1976 in Jamestown, ND to Patrick and Mary (Miller) Feist. He was raised in Minnewaukan and graduated from Minnewaukan High School in 1994. He continued his education at North Dakota State University where he studied electrical engineering. Upon graduation in 2000, he began employment with Ingersol Rand/Bobcat of Gwinner, ND. He held an Engineering Training Certificate from the North Dakota State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Cody enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, shooting skeet, and socializing with his friends. He had a great love of life and always enjoyed what he was doing. He died from injuries sustained in a car accident on December 22, 2000.
Eligibility Requirements: The initial primary purpose of the fund will be to financially assist students at the North Dakota State University who are juniors or seniors in the Electrical Engineering Department. Students must be graduates of a North Dakota High School. Preference will be given to students who are not 4.0 on a 4.0 = “A” scale. First preference will be given to students from Strasburg, Minnewaukan and Leeds, second preference is other North Dakota Class B schools. If no suitable candidate can be found within the above criteria, any student from a North Dakota High School may receive the award. The level of financial need shall be irrelevant in choosing the recipient of the award.
Applications accepted January 1 - April 1 only. Applications received outside of this window will NOT be accepted.
